In 2008, with the auxiliary vessel HMCS Protecteur AOR 305, the destroyer HMCS Iroquois DDH 280, HMCS Calgary FFG 335f participated in Combined Task Force 150 in the Arabian Sea. 

HMCS Calgary spent her time performing maritime interdiction of people and drug smuggling, and stopping piracy between Somalia and Yemen.

Protecteur had a life ending fire in February 2014 and was sold for scrap in 2015. Iroquois had significant corrosion in 2014 and was sold for scrap in 2015. Both ships were broken up in Liverpool, Nova Scotia.
