During the past three years, RAUSI's bookkeeper has provided first-class service. As she stepped down 31 December 2022 due to professional commitments, RAUSI requires a new bookkeeper.

Firstly, I am asking if you know of anyone – whether a RAUSI member or not – who would enjoy a small bookkeeping engagement on a generous fee-for-service basis. Particulars follow:

  1. RAUSI operates a virtual/digital office and has no physical office (Armoury Office closed).
  2. QuickBooks bookkeeping system; banking transactions downloadable to bookkeeping system.
  3. All disbursements are via Interac, approximately four transactions per month.
  4. All cash receipts are Interac or PayPal; few transactions throughout the year except during annual November/December membership renewal.
  5. Reconcile bank and prepare financial statements monthly on a cash basis not accrual basis.
  6. Complete one Alberta Gaming Liquor Cannabis (AGLC) return annually re disbursement of AGLC casino funds.
  7. Complete one CRA and one provincial information return annually for a Non-Profit Organization.
  8. Work with Board-level volunteer Secretary and Treasurer who will provide necessary oversight and analysis for purposes of maintaining internal control and stewardship over financial assets.
  9. Estimated length of time required is 4-6 hours per month.

Secondly, I am asking if you know of anyone – whether a RAUSI member or not – who would enjoy serving as a RAUSI Director in the role of Treasurer and/or Secretary. As noted above, the detailed work is to be completed by another party, and the deliverables of Treasurer and Secretary are principally oversight and analysis.
